Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has condemned the abduction and forceful conversion of 14-year-old Ese Oruru.This was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Iwosoriso-Markson today.   "I call on parents and guardians to be extremely vigilant, especially in the monitoring of the activities of their children, with a view to ensuring that, they do not fall victim to the antics of mischief makers," the statement reads. "I condemn the entire action, but also expressed satisfaction with the various individuals, non-governmental and civil society groups for bringing the matter to national and international focus. In order to meet up with the renewed strategy of clearing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists, the Nigerian Army yesterday February 29, inducted a combat motorbike battalion at the Headquarters of 25 Task Force Brigade, Damboa, Borno State. The Nigerian Army also launched the second set of 100 wanted suspected Boko Haram terrorists at the occasion. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai while inducting the unit stated that the essence of the battalion is to open and secure motorways from various towns to and fro Maiduguri and other parts of Yobe State. Prior to the induction and launching ceremony, the Chief of Army Staff took time off to see and address troops located at Delwa and Bulabulin before arriving Damboa. Fellow Oscar winner, Jamie Foxx said even though a black person didn't win an Oscar on Sunday, Leo DiCaprio is the next best thing because he is an honorary black person. He gave Chris Rock props on hosting, he said he 'nailed' and officially declared Best Actor winner "honorary black dude"! During an interview with TMZ while he walked at LAX airport, Jamie Foxx said: Come on over Leo, Leo is the closest thing to Tyrone that you can get". Foxx continued, "He is an honorary black man". "In Titanic he drowned, you know black dudes don't swim in the ocean". He also said Leo has a pass to play a black dude in a movie.

Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins, who last week confirmed his transfer from Seattle Sounders of U.S.A to Shanghai Shenhua of China will reportedly earn $6.6 million per year after tax at his new chinese club. Martins was on $3 million a year at Major League Soccer side Seattle Sounders, but after he has paid tax, he took home about $2 million.  And now according to Steven Goff of the Washington Post , the Nigerian who scored 40 goals and 23 assists in three seasons with the Sounders will earn a mouth-watering $6.6million annually more than double of what he was earning while playing in America. Martins has already joined his new club, which will open the Super League season March 5. He has played for Inter Milan (Italy), Levante (Spain), Wolfsburg (Germany), Newcastle United, Birmingham City (England) and Rubin Kazan (Russia).
